Gov. Gwen Garcia extended an invitation to Koreans from Gangwon to join the Suroy Suroy Sugbo - Southern Heritage Trail 2023 this coming November.
In a luncheon meeting with Jung Ilsub, the Global Director of Provincial Headquarters in Gangwon State Gov. Garcia said Gangwon residents are welcome to join Capitol's major tourism event.
She emphasized that because Cebu and Gangwon are both founding members of the East Asia Tourism Forum (EATOF) and are also sister provinces, she would rather establish direct flights that would connect both provinces first.
The governor is in Gangwon, South Korea to attend the Gangwon Forest Exhibition Opening on Friday, Sept. 22 and the EATOF Day on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023.
Gov. Garcia is the only foreign speaker who was invited to give a speech during the opening of Gangwon Forestry Exhibition in Gangwon Province and share Cebu’s best tourism practices.
During the luncheon meeting, she was also joined by the Governor of Tuv, Mongolia, D.Munkhbaatar together with the Capitol delegation that included Provincial Board Members Glenn Anthony Soco, Andrei Duterte, Victoria Corominas, and Raymond Calderon; as well as Toledo City Mayor Joie Perales. | PIO
