Capitol urges parents anew to immunize kids

“Ato gyud gi-awhag and request atong parents na i-allow any among mga bata ta mu receive sa vaccine to protect them from the complications of the disease, and to protect the community from communicable diseases.” -Dr. Rene Catan, Provincial Health Officer

With health as the topmost priority of the administration of Gov. Hilario P. Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes A. Magpale’s Six-Key Development Agenda, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) has long been conducting a massive campaign on the importance of vaccinations for infants and children.

The Capitol’s vaccination program, which complement with the Expanded Program on Immunization of the Department of Health, aims to shield the children from developing diseases like measles, rubella or German measles, diphtheria, mumps, among others. It is also intended to decrease the morbidity or mortality rate among infants and children.

The PHO, under the leadership of Dr. Rene Catan, encourages all parents in the province to have their infants or children vaccinated, which the Cebu Provincial Government are giving out for FREE.
