Nearly 500 Capitol workers availed themselves of the free health services offered during the Wellness Day activity organized by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) at the Capitol Social Hall today.
“Nag conduct gyud ta og Wellness Day para matagaan sad og pagtagad ang atong mga empleyado,” said Dr. Shiela Faciol, activity coordinator.
Among the services offered include free medical consultations, distribution of medicines, free laboratory services like ECG and cholesterol and glucose tests.
“Just like last year naa sad atong massage services, para mawa atong mga stress. Kung mo ingon ta’g wellness, it’s not just physical, apil na atong panghuna-huna,” said Faciol.
PHO’s program focal persons also conducted education campaign on effective family planning methods and proper nutrition, as well awareness on the prevention of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (Aids) and tuberculosis.
The Province’s nutrition team also discussed proper diet to employees.
“Para sad ma tudlo-an atong mga empleyado sa proper nutrition,” said Faciol. “Naa tay mga other programs, like we have sa blood. Para makakuha sad ta’g blood para sa atong mga hospitals. A total of 18 bags of blood were also collected during the blood-letting activity.”
