Balamban town receives two new classrooms built by the Capitol

In Balamban town, the Provincial Government formally turned over last March 19 two new classrooms built for Biasong Elementary School, situated eight and a half kilometers high up in the mountains from the town proper.

Gov. Hilario P. Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes A. Magpale led the inauguration of the new two-classroom building worth P2.049 million, the first Provincial Government-funded classroom built this year.

“Usa lang ni sa daghang classroom nga among gipatukod,” said Davide in his message after the ceremony.

In 2017, the Provincial Government allocated P87.8 million for the construction of 44 classrooms for 1,900 pupils.

This is in line with Davide’s six key development agenda, which includes education and infrastructure.

With Davide and Magpale during the ribbon cutting were Provincial Board (PB) members Yolanda Daan, Sun Shimura, Miguel Magpale and Earl Tidy Oyas. Capitol officials were all present in Balamban town last March 19 for the Serbisyo Karaban, wherein different services on health, agriculture, education, disaster preparedness and tourism were extended to the public.
