The Cebu Provincial Board (PB) has approved a resolution commending Governor Pamela Baricuatro for her election as chairperson of the Regional Development Committee–Visayas Area Committee (RD Com-VAC), recognizing her leadership role in steering economic and development priorities across the entire Visayas regions.
The resolution, authored by PB Member Dason Larenz Lagon of Cebu’s sixth district, was approved en masse during the Provincial Board’s regular session on Monday, February 2.
As chairperson of the RD Com-VAC, Gov. Baricuatro will lead deliberations on priority economic projects and oversee the coordination of development plans among provinces across the Visayas region, including Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 7 (Central Visayas), Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), and the newly reestablished Negros Island Region (NIR), the resolution stated.
The provincial legislature also noted that Governor Baricuatro was recently elected to head the Regional Development Council in Central Visayas (RDC 7), which works closely with the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) to ensure that provinces align and endorse shared economic and development priorities for national support and funding.
These achievements, Lagon said, are the result of Governor Baricuatro’s “exemplary performance as a public servant.”
“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cebu finds it very necessary and appropriate to express gratitude and congratulations to Governor Pamela S.
