The Province of Cebu drew strong interest on the opening day of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) Travel & Tour Expo 2026, with its pavilion at the SMX Convention Center attracting large crowds eager to explore the island province’s world-class destinations.
Visitors were attracted to the Cebu Province booth, which showcased Cebu’s top-tier destinations, rich cultural heritage, and diverse local experiences, leaving many amazed and inspired to visit.
The strong turnout highlighted the province’s continuing appeal among domestic travelers and industry stakeholders in attendance.
“Cebu Province’s participation in this major travel fair reinforces its commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, strengthening partnerships with the travel trade, and keeping Cebu front and center in the minds of travelers nationwide,” said the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office in a Facebook update.
The province’s participation reflects the ongoing efforts of the administration of Gov. Pamela Baricuatro to showcase Cebu’s top destinations, culture and traditions, delicacies, and authentic community-based experiences while supporting local economies across the province, rather than focusing on personalities-based tourism.
“Guided by the leadership of People’s Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, Cebu continues to move forward with a clear vision: to share the best of the province with the world and invite everyone to experience the many stories of Cebu,” the post said.
The PTAA Travel & Tour Expo 2026, regarded as the country’s biggest and best travel showcase, runs from February 6 to 8, 2026.
Now in its 33rd year, the annual event has evolved into the Philippines’ most significant gathering for travel enthusiasts and industry professionals, attracting more than 100,000 visitors seeking extraordinary travel experiences at competitive value.
