The Cebu Provincial Government has begun delivering hot meals to families and individuals seeking shelter from Tropical Storm #BasyangPH in evacuation centers across the province.
In Talisay City, the Capitol distributed 300 hot meals to evacuees taking shelter at the San Roque Gym in Barangay San Roque, as part of its continuing relief operations amid inclement weather.
The food assistance, carried out under the direction of Governor Pamela Baricuatro, benefited 48 displaced families currently staying at the evacuation site.
The on-ground operation was facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in coordination with the governor’s relief partners, ensuring that warm meals reach affected communities promptly—especially those most in need.
Governor Baricuatro reiterated her call for Cebuanos to remain vigilant and look after one another as weather disturbances continue to affect parts of the province, even as relief and support operations remain ongoing. | CAPITOL PIO
