𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐋 𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐑
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) convened this afternoon, Feb. 4, to coordinate preparations for Tropical Depression Basyang, which is expected to hit Cebu in the coming days.

According to the latest PAGASA weather bulletin issued at 5 p.m., Basyang could make landfall in Cebu’s southern tip area.
Presided over by Acting Governor Glenn Anthony Soco, the meeting covered the latest weather updates, risk assessment, preparedness measures, relief readiness, engineering reports, and emergency medical plans to ensure coordinated and unified response across the province.

Following the PDRRMC meeting, Governor Pamela Baricuatro, who is currently on an official trip in Fujian, China, was briefed via Zoom by Provincial Administrator Atty. Ace Durano on the Capitol’s disaster preparations.
