Governor Pamela Baricuatro, together with Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Director PBGen. Redrico Maranan, graced the blessing and ceremonial turnover of mobility assets to various police stations across the province under the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) at the provincial headquarters in Sudlon, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

A total of 22 vehicles—comprising 10 Toyota Hilux 4×4 units, eight Toyota Innova units, and four Honda dirt bikes (150cc)—from the Philippine National Police (PNP) were turned over to various local government units through their mayors and chiefs of police, who were present during the ceremony. Also distributed were 663 assorted tires and ICT equipment, consisting of 51 desktop computers and one laptop, to the recipients.

Governor Baricuatro also donated four Honda Transalp 750 motorcycles to bolster police operations in hard-to-reach areas.

“Today feels a little like an extended Christmas celebration—naa man tay exchange of gifts! The Province is turning over motorcycles to the Cebu Police Provincial Office, and in the same spirit, the PNP is also turning over vehicles to the Province. It’s a simple reminder that service is always a two-way partnership. But this exchange is more than just new equipment—it’s about trust, cooperation, and shared responsibility. As your provincial government, I promise to continue supporting and taking care of our police because you take care of Cebu every single day. In return, we ask only one thing: that you continue to do your best for Cebu—serve with integrity, discipline, and heart. When government and police stand together, our communities become safer and stronger,” Governor Baricuatro said in her message during the ceremony.

PRO-7 Director Maranan, meanwhile, directed the CPPO, under PCol. Abubakar Mangelen Jr. , to serve with integrity and accountability and to uphold the rule of law to further earn the public’s trust.

“Enhanced mobility translates directly to stronger police presence, effective crime deterrence, and increased public confidence. These vehicles and equipment extend our reach, whether in urban centers, remote barangays, or challenging terrain. I also commend Governor Baricuatro for her unwavering support in strengthening peace and order across Cebu. To our police commanders, these assets symbolize public trust—take care of them, maintain them, and use them strictly for official purposes,” he said. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒀𝑱𝑩, 𝑨𝑹𝑱
