Bus operations at the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) will be temporarily transferred to the South Road Properties (SRP) this coming Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18.

The move is in line with the annual solemn procession for the Sto. Niño de Cebu and Sinulog street dancing which will affect traffic flow in front of the CSBT on both days.

From the south, bus passengers bound for Cebu City will be dropped off at a designated arrival point at the Il Corso Terminal in the SRP.

From there, modern jeepneys will ferry them at regular fares to five destinations, namely: Cebu North Bus Terminal, Plaza Independencia, Katipunan St. in front of Bible Baptist Church, Kinasang-an via F. Vestil St. and Cordova via CCLEX.

On the other hand, south-bound bus passengers from Cebu City are advised to proceed to Katipunan Street where modern jeepneys will ferry them at regular fares from the Bible Baptist area to the temporary bus terminal at the El Pardo Road in the SRP.

There will be twenty-four bus loading stations for various destinations with ticketing counters, traffic enforcers and peace-keeping personnel at the temporary bus terminal in El Pardo at the SRP that will be equipped with tents, seats, portalets and adequate lighting.

Meanwhile, V-Hire units bound for Simala, Moalboal, Toledo and Pinamungajan will be stationed at the newly-opened V-Hire Terminal near the Taboan Market Bridge at the end of Sanciangco St. beside the Barangay Hall of Pahina Central, Cebu City.

Passengers bound for said destinations may board V-Hire units at this new terminal, still at regular fares.

During the two-day period, the CSBT will serve as a parking area for vehicles of emergency responders, law enforcers and Sinulog working committee members.

The CSBT will resume regular bus operations early morning of Monday, January 19, 2026. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶
