𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — Governor Pamela Baricuatro said the opening of Jollibee Foods Corporation’s commissary in Barangay Guinsay underscores strong investor confidence in the city’s “clean, honest, and forward-looking leadership.”

Gov. Baricuatro made the statement during the official launch of the Danao City Commissary on Thursday, January 8.

“The decision to locate this facility in Danao City is no coincidence,” the governor said in her speech.

“Danao is not only thriving — it is more than ready. Ready to lead, ready to grow, and ready to become one of Cebu’s next investment hubs. The increasing presence of businesses here reflects strong investor confidence in the city’s clean, honest, and forward-looking leadership,” she added.

The governor joined Trade Secretary Cristina Roque at the event, which was also attended by Jollibee Group Philippines CEO and Global Head of the Jollibee Brand Joseph Tanbuntiong, Danao City officials led by Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III, and Provincial Administrator Atty. Ace Durano.

Situated on a two-hectare site, the commissary supports the food processing needs of Jollibee brands such as Jollibee, Mang Inasal, and Chowking across Visayas and Mindanao. It is the Jollibee Group’s 12th commissary nationwide and its fourth in the Visayas.

The facility employs 451 workers, most of whom are Danao City residents, and is equipped with advanced automation and enhanced manufacturing capabilities to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain for the region’s growing demand.

Governor Baricuatro also welcomed Jollibee Group’s decision to expand investments beyond Metro Cebu, describing it as strategic, inclusive, and people-centered.

“We value partners who share our commitment to good governance, sustainability, and inclusive growth — principles that align closely with Jollibee’s own “Joy for Tomorrow” agenda,” the governor said. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒀𝑱𝑩 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑭𝑬
