The Cebu Provincial Government has formally launched the newly renovated studio of the Provincial Information Office (PIO), which will serve as the home of the Capitol’s upcoming talk shows aimed at informing the public and promoting transparency under the leadership of Gov. Pamela Baricuatro.
The launch began with a blessing ceremony for the newly renovated studio and adjoining spaces, led by Provincial Administrator Atty. Ace Durano and Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan. Capitol department heads also graced the event.
Initial offerings include “Dok iStorya,” a talk show that will tackle issues on health and provincial medical services. It is hosted by Board Member Doc Stanley Caminero and Dr. Nikki Catalan, the Capitol’s piso public health consultant.
Another program, “iStorya Cebu,” hosted by PIO chief Ainjeliz de la Torre-Orong, will feature Capitol officials and department heads and their initiatives.
Slated to appear in the program include Gov. Baricuatro, Vice Governor Glenn Soco, members of the Provincial Board, department heads, as well as local chief executives and officers of national line agencies in the region.
“Kada proyekto, kada programa, kada palisiya, aduna gyoy istorya. Istorya sa paglaum, istorya sa pag-alagad, istorya sa Sugbo,” Orong said in a video teaser produced by the PIO. “Dinhi sa Istorya Cebu, atong paminawon ug sabton ang tinuod nga mensahe sa serbisyo publiko.”
These talk shows aim to keep the Cebuano public updated on the Capitol’s projects, programs, and initiatives, while also highlighting issues and concerns that are priorities of the current administration.
