More than 100 children battling cancer — from toddlers as young as one-year-old to teenagers up to 18 — were the shining stars of “Shine Bright, Little Stars: Pasko ng Batang Bayani,” a heartwarming Christmas celebration held at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC). The event gathered donors, doctors, volunteers, and families to honor the courage of young cancer warriors and bring them moments of joy this holiday season.

The celebration was spearheaded by the International Association of Lions Clubs, the main sponsor, with additional support from several physicians, including Dr. Nikki Catalan, Capitol Piso Health Consultant, who has been actively helping raise assistance for pediatric cancer patients.

Children received food, gift bags, treats, and prizes during the festivities. Games and activities lit up the room with laughter — even among children who were visibly tired from their treatments. Special recognition was given to those who had completed or “graduated” from chemotherapy, along with other awards celebrating bravery, perseverance, and important milestones.
For those who wish to help, VSMMC welcomes donations — especially for transportation allowances, uncovered medicines, and other essential needs to support these brave “little stars” and their families. / /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒀𝑺𝑳, 𝑨𝑺𝑪
