The Cebu League of Local Youth Development Officers (LLYDO) convened on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Capitol Conference Hall for a comprehensive year-end planning meeting led by Marven Cabahug Gorgonio, Piso Consultant on Youth Affairs to the Governor, and Mikee Pepito-Empaces, the Provincial Focal Person on Youth.

The gathering brought together youth leaders from across Cebu Province to assess this year’s accomplishments, identify challenges, and outline strategic priorities aimed at strengthening youth programs and policies for 2026 and beyond.
During the discussions, Gorgonio emphasized the importance of empowering local youth development offices to remain responsive to the evolving needs of young Cebuanos.

These needs, she noted, span various areas such as leadership development, education and skills training, mental health support, and community engagement.
Gorgonio urged the group to adopt innovative, data-driven, and community-grounded approaches in designing programs that create meaningful and measurable impact.

She also highlighted the value of enhancing collaboration among local government units, youth organizations, and provincial agencies to ensure more sustainable and unified youth development initiatives.
