The Cebu Provincial Government dispatched an additional 1,000 family food packs to Dumanjug today, November 26, bolstering support for the southwest town recovering from floods caused by Tropical Depression Verbena.

This latest delivery comes after the municipality received assistance on Tuesday, including 500 boxes of family food supplies and 30,000 doses of prophylactic antibiotics. The delivery of prophylaxis was facilitated by Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan.

In a parallel relief effort in Carcar City today, the Capitol distributed 2,800 additional hot meals. Last Tuesday, the city also received 1,000 hot meals and 1,000 bottles of water, in addition to the distribution of 1,000 family food packs.
