LOOK: In response to the heavy flooding caused by Tropical Depression Verbena, the Provincial Health Office, through Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan, delivered 18,000 doses of prophylactic antibiotics to Carcar City today, Nov. 25.

The delivery ensures a ready supply of medication to prevent leptospirosis and other water-borne diseases for residents who waded through floodwaters. Dr. Catalan emphasized the urgency of providing immediate prophylaxis to affected communities.
Dr. Ma. Felmar Deza, City Health Officer of Carcar City, personally received 3,0000 capsules at the Super Health Center, where it will be distributed to residents in need. More prophylaxis antibiotics are being distributed to other areas as of this writing.
