Despite the gloomy weather, Christmas filled the air at the Provincial Capitol as Governor Pamela Baricuatro was serenaded by members of the Cebu Blind Association during their visit to her office on November 24.
The caroling offered a welcome moment of warmth and comfort for the governor, lifting her spirits as the province braces for another weather disturbance. Tropical Depression #Verbena has placed Cebu under Signal No. 1, with forecasts of moderate to heavy rains that may trigger flooding, rising river levels, and possible landslides in high-risk areas.
While Verbena is not expected to strengthen into a typhoon, Governor Baricuatro reminded the public to remain vigilant. For a brief moment, however, she allowed herself to simply enjoy the serenade and look forward to the joy the Christmas season brings. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶
