Consolacion Mayor Nene Alegado and Vice Mayor Joyjoy Alegado personally received the additional 30,000 doses of prophylactic antibiotics from the Cebu Provincial Government.

The medicine will be distributed to 11 barangays and two Rural Health Units to protect residents with continued exposure to contaminated water, which may carry leptospirosis and other infectious diseases following the flooding from Typhoon Tino.
The affected areas include Barangays Danglag, Pitogo, Cansaga, Poblacion Oriental, Poblacion Occidental, Tugbongan, Garing, Tilha-ong, Nangka, Casili, and Lamac, along with RHU 1 and RHU 2.
The Capitol continues to deliver medical assistance to ensure the health and safety of residents in disaster-affected areas, an initiative of Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan, under the directive of Gov. Pamela Baricuatro.
