GOV BARICUATRO ATTENDS MANILA FUNDRAISER TO SECURE AID FOR CEBU; ₱2.85M PLEDGED FOR TINO VICTIMS
Cebu Governor Pam Baricuatro traveled to Manila this weekend upon the official invitation of Tatler Philippines to personally represent the Province of Cebu and secure additional support for families affected by Typhoon Tino.

The Governor’s presence at Tatler Philippines’ 24th Anniversary Gala resulted in a confirmed ₱2.85 million pledge dedicated specifically for humanitarian assistance to typhoon-hit communities in Cebu.
The amount was raised through the charity auction of Betsy Westendorp’s painting, Casares (Pueblo Andalucia), donated by philanthropist Alice Eduardo and won by Dr. Aivee Teo. The proceeds will be facilitated by the MSY Foundation for Cebu’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation work.
Governor Baricuatro said she accepted the invitation to attend the event to formally convey the Province’s gratitude and to advocate for continued support as Cebu rebuilds.
“This assistance will go a long way in helping the victims of Typhoon Tino in Cebu,” she said, extending her thanks to Alice Eduardo and Dr. Aivee Tio, as well as the MSY Foundation.
The gala also raised over ₱12 million nationwide for World Vision’s “Bawat Batang Pinoy, Malusog” campaign, aimed at improving child nutrition in the Philippines.
The Governor stressed that private sector support is one of Cebu’s most vital lifelines in the aftermath of the recent typhoon and massive flooding.
She thanked Tatler for requesting her personal presence and recognizing Cebu’s urgent needs.
