𝐆𝐎𝐕. 𝐏𝐀𝐌 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐇𝐊𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐍𝐈 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐄𝐁𝐔𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐒
Governor Pamela Baricuatro received a distinguished honor from the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) Alumni Association of the Philippines for her service to the government of the Republic of the Philippines.
The award was presented during the 2025 Bureaucrats’ Ball held in Quezon City on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The recognition is bestowed annually upon HKS graduates who are appointed or elected to public office.
“Thank you to my fellow alumni for this award and for the ongoing encouragement to serve with integrity and dedication,” Governor Baricuatro wrote in her official Facebook account.
This marks her second commendation from the association. She first received the same honor when she was appointed to the National Level Board of Directors of the Land Bank of the Philippines.
During the ceremony, Governor Baricuatro said that a colleague had asked how it felt to be recognized by fellow alumni, to which she answered, “It sinks in more than ever: I must serve the Cebuanos even more.”
“One of the timeless teachings from Harvard that I carry with me is to make a difference in anything that you do. And the famous line from JFK, ‘Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”—continues to inspire me. That’s why I make it a point to attend this yearly event; it reinforces the principles I learned at Harvard’,” she said.
Governor Baricuatro attended a formal program in public administration at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in the US.
