Dr. Elisse Nicole Catalan, Provincial Piso Health Consultant, extends her deepest gratitude to the hundreds of blood donors who responded to the urgent call for help at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) following the recent earthquake that struck Northern Cebu.
A massive turnout of donors filled the hospital’s blood bank as Cebuanos from all walks of life, medical personnel, students, civic groups, and private individuals, lined up to donate blood for those in need.
Dr. Catalan commended the overwhelming compassion and unity shown by everyone who participated in the blood donation drive.
“Your generosity and quick response truly reflect the heart of the Cebuano spirit, always ready to help, always willing to serve,” Dr. Catalan said.
The Provincial Government of Cebu, under People’s Governor Pam Baricuatro, likewise expressed its appreciation to VSMMC for accommodating the surge of donors and ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood units.
Dr. Catalan also encouraged the public to continue supporting ongoing health and recovery efforts in the province.
