The Cebu Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, introduces the Capitol’s first-ever Sea Ambulance — a landmark initiative that will greatly enhance the province’s capacity for quick and efficient emergency response, especially in island municipalities.

This pioneering project, made possible through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), reflects Governor Baricuatro’s strong commitment to accessible health services and timely rescue operations for every Cebuano.
The Sea Ambulance will ensure that patients and victims from remote and island areas can receive immediate medical attention and be transported swiftly to nearby hospitals – turning Governor Baricuatro’s promise into reality.

In addition, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has turned over two fishing boats to the Province of Cebu, which were subsequently distributed to the local governments of Danao City and Medellin. This initiative forms part of the province’s continued effort to support livelihood recovery and strengthen coastal resilienceamong fisherfolk communities.

Together, these programs reflect Governor Baricuatro’s priority to ensure that health, safety, and livelihood go hand in hand in building a stronger and more resilient Cebu. | 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒍 𝑷𝑰𝑶
