The Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) Center for Behavioral Team has been dispatched to the San Remigio Municipal Gym to provide mental health support, stress debriefing, and post-earthquake psychosocial activities for affected residents.
This marks the first wave of psychological responders mobilized to help communities process, cope, and heal in the aftermath of the earthquake.
According to a post by Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Elise Nicole Catalan, additional psychological support missions are scheduled in the coming days. A team from the Department of Health – Central Office is also set to arrive on Monday to reinforce ongoing mental health and psychosocial interventions.
