To support the Philippine Cebu Red Cross partnership , the Cebu Provincial Government, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, provides P1.2 million in insurance coverage for all responders across the province’s local government units.

The Capitol has also partnered with the Red Cross for its blood samaritan program and blood availability and supply initiative. These programs, which received P2 million in funding from the province, will ensure that blood is accessible for indigent patients during emergencies at Capitol-run hospitals.
On Saturday, Governor Pamela Baricuatro formalized the agreement with the Red Cross at the Capitol Social Hall. Representing the Red Cross was its Chairman and CEO, Richard Gordon. Also in attendance was Cebu City Vice Mayor Tommy Osmeña.

“These programs demonstrate our province’s ongoing efforts to enhance the health and security of our people. They are significantly beneficial, especially during emergencies,” said Provincial Board Member Dr. Stanley Caminero, who authored the three resolutions for the memorandum of agreement. | 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒍 𝑷𝑰𝑶
