Mandaue City Capitol partnership leaders, led by Mayor Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” Ouano, paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Pamela Baricuatro at the Capitol on September 15 in an effort to strengthen partnership with the provincial government.
Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede, members of the city council, and Provincial Board Member Noli Seno joined Mayor Ouano.
He affirmed his full support for the programs of the Capitol, especially those that uplift the people of Mandaue. He emphasized the city’s willingness to collaborate and extend help in every way possible.
Gov. Baricuatro welcomed this gesture, stressing that public service must rise above political divisions.
“Humana man ang eleksyon. Now is the time to work together,” she said, calling for unity in advancing the welfare of the Cebuanos.
In a concrete show of support, the governor announced that the Capitol has earmarked ₱15 million for Mandaue City Capitol partnership with ₱13 million coursed through the mayor’s office and ₱2 million through the vice mayor’s office. The funds will be spent for their various programs for Mandaue.
“I want to empower you, not overpower you,” she said, affirming her commitment to ensure that local leaders succeed in delivering meaningful programs for their people. |𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶
