With the aim of encouraging the youth’s meaningful participation in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of government programs and initiatives, People’s Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro has signed Executive Order No. 9 constituting the Cebu Provincial Youth Commission.
Among others, the commission is tasked with serving as core group on the advocacy on youth participation in nation-building and youth empowerment in the province.
“The Provincial Government recognizes that the youth are essential stakeholders and agents of change who must be empowered to engage in governance, policy advocacy, and community-building activities in order to sustain inclusive and forward-looking development,” the EO reads.
