In her desire to finally solve land issues that have been hounding the Province yet remained unsolved for over 30 years, Gov. Pamela Baricuatro signed Executive Order No. 4 which created a task force to address issues related to the 93-1 and other province-owned lots.
In this regard, the Governor has shown willingness to work with the newly installed officials of the Cebu City Government, led by Mayor Nestor Archival, in finding win-win solutions for the issue.
“There is hereby created a Task Force . . . which shall serve as the lead coordinating and advisory body of the Provincial Government of Cebu in addressing issues, negotiations, and policy matters involving the 93-1 lots and other provincial-occupied lots, with the aim of achieving a just, equitable, and sustainable resolution for all parties,” the EO reads.
