𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐁𝐈𝐒𝐘𝐎 𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐍 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐃𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐄𝐁𝐔’𝐒 𝟑𝐑𝐃 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐓
The Capitol’s Serbisyo Karaban, held under the leadership of Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, brought various provincial and national government services directly to residents of Pinamungajan and other communities in Cebu’s third district.
In her speech, Gov. Baricuatro reiterated the Cebu Provincial Government’s commitment to delivering better services to every Cebuano.
Among the services provided were the distribution of assistive devices and family food packs to persons with disabilities through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO); medical consultations for adult and pediatric patients through the Provincial Health Office (PHO); and veterinary assistance from the Provincial Veterinary Office.
The Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) also provided agricultural assistance, including one walk-behind agricultural tractor, assorted fruit and vegetable seedlings, and materials for a fish sanctuary.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Assessor’s Office provided technical assistance and advice to taxpayers, while the Provincial Legal Office (PLO) offered various forms of legal assistance to residents.
The Serbisyo Karaban was also supported by provincial officials, barangay captains, Capitol department heads, and partner agencies that also offered various services, including PDEA, DILG, DSWD, PNP, NCSC, Pag-IBIG, Philippine Red Cross, DENR, PSA, and MSWDO Pinamungajan.
For beneficiaries like Jovelyn Cañeso, the medical services provided through the Serbisyo Karaban offered much-needed relief, particularly to residents who may not be able to afford private consultations.
“Naa may free karon. Pirte na gyud ning dakoa og kuan namo, sa uban, og adto sa private, ₱700 baya. Unya asa man kag ₱700 anang adlawa,” Cañeso said.
She also expressed her gratitude for the government services brought directly to their community.
“Maong salamat nga naa gyuy naabot diri nga medical mission nga kaming alaot kaayo maka-free mi sa ilang serbisyo sa gobyerno,” she said.
INDUSTRIAL FANS TURNED OVER TO 7 BARANGAYS
As part of the assistance provided during the event, eight industrial fans were turned over to seven barangays in Pinamungajan.
Barangay Poblacion received two industrial fans for its two covered courts, while Barangays Anislag, Binabag, Busay, Sacsac, Sambagon, and Tupas each received one unit.
The covered courts of the recipient barangays were among the facilities identified and validated by the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) – Electrical Division as safe and suitable for the installation of the industrial fans. The assessment covered 26 barangays in the municipality.
₱1.15 MILLION IN CHECKS TURNED OVER TO 3RD DISTRICT
The province also turned over a total of ₱1.15 million in financial assistance to barangays in the third district.
Of the amount, ₱650,000 was allocated to two barangays in Barili, ₱300,000 to three barangays in Aloguinsan, and ₱200,000 to Barangay Cabiangon in Pinamungajan.
The assistance will support various community needs, including socio-cultural activities, sports gear and equipment, tables and chairs, water systems, and the extension of barangay halls.
Pinamungajan Mayor Glenn F. Baricuatro thanked the Cebu Provincial Government for bringing government services directly to their constituents.
“Akong itunol ang akong mainiton nga pasalamat nga ania jud mo karon nga gida ang serbisyo nga angayan madawat sa mga katawhan sa Pinamungajan,” the mayor said.
Vice Mayor Jessica Baricuatro, meanwhile, emphasized the accessibility of the services brought by the Serbisyo Karaban to their constituents.
“Nahimong sayon na kay ang serbisyo na ang niabot kanato, di na ta kinahanglan muadto didto,” she said.
