2,293 Families in Talisay, Minglanilla Receive Typhoon Tino Aid

𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝟐𝐓 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐘, 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐎 𝐀𝐈𝐃

A total of 2,293 families in Talisay City received cash and rice assistance on Friday, August 14, as the Cebu Provincial Government, in partnership with the Talisay City Local Government Unit (LGU), rolled out its second batch of relief for victims of Typhoon Tino.

Through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) led by Marirose Lopez, and Provincial Agriculture Office led by Roldan Saragena, each beneficiary received ₱10,000 in cash along with 10 kilograms of rice provided under the National Government’s “Bigay Bigas para sa Masa” program.

The distribution was led by Governor Pamela Baricuatro, together with First District Board Members Lakambini “Neneth” Reluya and Antonio Bacaltos Jr., as well as members of the Talisay City Council.

During her address to the residents, Governor Baricuatro reiterated her commitment to public service and shared words of sympathy for the affected families.

“Akong pagka-gobernador. serbisyo ni. Usa ka prebilihiyo nga dili tanang tawo matagaan og higayon nga makagasa ug makasilbi kaninyo. Maka-serbisyo ko ninyo ug naa koy mahatag kaninyo,” she said.

In addition to family assistance, veterinary logistics were also distributed the Veterinary Office (VTO).
