A festive atmosphere took over the Capitol as employees, along with their families, celebrated the province’s 457th Founding Anniversary with a raffle draw, capping this morning’s gathering with joy, laughter and high spirits.
Responding to Fr. Jonathan Rubin’s homily on the duty of elected officials to serve the people to whom they swore an oath, Gov. Pamela Baricuatro invoked a quote attributed to former President Manuel L. Quezon.
“My loyalty to the party ends where my loyalty to the people begins,” the governor said in her short message. “Wala lang sa tay pamolitika karon kay ang atua diri serbisyo,” she added.
