𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐋, 𝐔𝐂𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐓 𝐂𝐏𝐇–𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐀𝐑
The Cebu Provincial Government has begun preparations for another surgical mission at Cebu Provincial Hospital (CPH)–Carcar through a partnership with the University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) surgical team as part of the celebration of Cebu Province’s 457th Founding Anniversary.
A coordination meeting was held on Tuesday to finalize operational plans for the medical outreach, which will be led by UCMed surgeons Dr. Armando Tan and Dr. Maribel Du.
Joining the meeting were CPH–Carcar Chief of Clinics Dr. Daisy Abarquez, Chief Nurse Teresita Blanco, Provincial Health Office Chief Dr. Shiela Faciol and her team, and representatives from the City Government of Carcar.
“Careful coordination is essential to every medical and surgical mission. It allows us to properly screen patients, align our medical teams and resources, prepare the necessary facilities, and ensure that services are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the patient’s well-being at the center,” Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan said.
Catalan thanked UCMed, CPH–Carcar, the Provincial Health Office, and the City Government of Carcar for their collaboration in bringing specialized surgical services closer to Cebuanos.
Schedules for surgical pre-screening and other details of the mission will be announced in the coming days.
