𝐏𝐁 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐄𝐑𝐒, 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐑’𝐒 𝐙𝐄𝐑𝐎 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐔𝐍
The Cebu Provincial Board (PB) recognized the organizers and stakeholders behind the successful staging of the 1st Governor’s Zero Hunger Run, applauding their collective efforts in promoting health, strengthening community solidarity, and advancing food security in the Province of Cebu.
During its regular session on Monday, August 3, 2026, the PB approved Resolution No. 127 authored by PB Member Malcolm Sanchez commending the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission, Velocity 3, Team ADR, and Megatech PH as the lead organizers of the 1st Governor’s Zero Hunger Run, an initiative of the Office of Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro.
The resolution also recognized the invaluable contributions of the Cebu Capitol department offices, partner agencies, participating local government units, sponsors, volunteers, and thousands of participants whose support and cooperation ensured the overwhelming success of the event held last August 2, Sunday.
The PB further noted that the success of the inaugural run reflects the Cebu Provincial Government’s commitment to programs that inspire public participation, strengthen partnerships, and create lasting social impact through health and community-driven initiatives.
In her message shortly after the race, Gov. Baricuatro, who joined the 1K fun run with guests, Capitol officials and employees, thanked participants for turning the advocacy into what she called a movement.
“Thank you to every runner who showed up and ran with us,” she said.
The governor said the proceeds from the event will help fund initiatives aimed at improving food security and nutrition among Cebuanos, and she thanked everyone who was instrumental in the event’s success. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔
