𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗢𝗟 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟, 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗘𝗘𝗦
Employees of the Cebu Provincial Government are taking a break from work by availing themselves of the free services offered during today’s Capitol Wellness Day at the Social Hall.
The wellness fair offers free massage, medical and dental checkups, laboratory services, nutrition counseling, as well as medicines and vitamins.
Leading by example, Governor Pamela Baricuatro also avails herself of the various wellness services offered during the event.
“Our employees work every day to keep the Provincial Government moving and its services reaching the Cebuano people. This time, we make space for their own health and well-being,” Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan said.
Some employees are also taking part in a coloring activity organized by the Provincial Health Office, which aims to help participants unwind and recharge amid their busy work schedules.
Debrah Ann Cortez, the Provincial Health Office’s Mental Health Program Coordinator, said creative activities such as coloring provide employees with a healthy outlet for stress.
“We have this section called Mental Health Matters. Since we are government employees, busy kaayo atoang mga schedule, so we need to take a break and pause for a while,” Cortez said.
“Ma-divert ang imong attention, and sometimes ma-realize nalang nimo nga kabalo man diay ka mo-color. It’s one way of expressing yourself,” she added.
Blood donation drive
Employees are also joining the blood donation drive held alongside the wellness activities.
Jesse Mesias of the Provincial Engineer’s Office, who donates blood every year, said he finds the experience rewarding beyond its health benefits.
“Maayo man nga makatabang ta sa lain kay public servant man pud ta,” Mesias said.
The Capitol Wellness Day is one of the activities lined up in celebration of the 457th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Cebu.
