San Francisco, Camotes Islands — The People’s Governor, Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, joined the flag-raising ceremony in front of the municipal hall with the local officials and employees of San Francisco on Monday, July 20, 2026. She is joined by Provincial Administrator Ace Durano, Provincial Board Members Red Duterte and Mike Villamor, Mayor Alfredo Arquillano, Vice Mayor Aly Arquillano and other local officials.
Gov. Baricuatro personally handed over two checks to Mayor Arquillano, amounting to P10 million intended for road concreting projects.
The Cebu Provincial Government also turned over 1,000 solar units for San Francisco Local Government Unit LGU.
A total of P250,000 worth of checks were also handed over by the governor to the officials of Brgy. Himensulan that will be used for their social-cultural activities and procurement of tents.
Brgy. San Isidro also received a check worth P50,000 intended for the purchase of tables, while Brgy. Cabonga-an received P150,000 for their social-cultural activities.
In her message, Gov. Baricuatro expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and encouraged everyone to uphold their commitment to public service, to show kindness and humility to everyone and to always find joy in the midst of the daily obligations as public servants.
Mayor Arquillano shared how unity can help in the progress and development of the lives of the people being served.
“Your presence here today inspires us and reminds us of the importance of unity. Public service and our shared commitment to improving the lives of the people we serve,” Mayor Arquillano said.
