P1.67-M Day Care Center Breaks Ground in Barangay Mabini, Poro

𝐏𝟏.𝟔𝟕-𝐌 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐈

PORO, Camotes Islands — Construction of a P1.675-million Day Care Center officially got underway in Barangay Mabini, Poro, Camotes, on Sunday, July 19, with Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro leading the groundbreaking ceremony.

Expected to be completed within 60 days, the project will provide children in the barangay with a safer and more conducive learning environment while supporting the municipality’s early childhood care and development programs.

Gov. Baricuatro said the project was made possible through the collaboration of the Provincial Government and local officials.

“Sa akong pagka-gobernador, serbisyo ra gyud akong tinguha. Ang importante kanato makatabang ko ninyo, makaserbisyo ko ninyo ug makaalagad ko ninyo. This won’t be the last,” the governor said.

Barangay Captain Marag Dalumpines thanked Gov. Baricuatro for the Capitol’s continued support to the community.

Residents also welcomed the project. Honey Grace Otadoy said the new center would provide children with a more comfortable place to learn.

“Dako kaayo ni og ikatabang, ilabi na sa akong anak kay safe na ug landong. Ang karaan man gud init kaayo,” she said.

Also present during the ceremony were former Fifth District Rep. Red Durano, Provincial Administrator Atty. Ace Durano, Provincial Engineer Hector Jamora, Dr. Janos Viscayno Jr. and municipal and barangay officials.
