𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮, 𝐕𝐈𝐏 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
The Cebu Provincial Government, under the leadership of Gov. Pamela S. Baricuatro, through the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office (CPTO), welcomed the 292 Filipino American participants of the Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour 2026 to the province of Cebu.
The first day of their Cebu journey on Friday, July 17, highlighted the province’s diverse tourism offerings through simultaneous tours across southern Cebu.
Delegates experienced world-renowned adventure attractions, including the Badian canyoneering adventure, the Moalboal sardine run and the iconic Oslob whale shark encounter. Others explored the historic towns of Boljoon and Argao, as well as the Heritage City of Carcar, through a pilgrimage, heritage and culinary tour.
To further enrich the delegates’ experience, the CPTO also organized the VIP Bazaar at Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort, showcasing Cebu’s finest products. The bazaar featured locally made delicacies, fashion, handicrafts and other proudly Cebuano products.
The Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour, a flagship program of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Department of Tourism (DOT), continues to reconnect overseas Filipinos with their heritage through meaningful cultural and tourism experiences across the country.
