𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐉𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 ₱𝟑𝐌 𝐀𝐈𝐃, 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐌 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐑𝐌 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐒
The Cebu Provincial Government has extended ₱3 million in socio-cultural assistance to the Municipality of Boljoon, reinforcing its support for local government programs that safeguard the Cebuano socio-cultural identity.
Governor Pam Baricuatro personally turned over the ₱3-million check to Boljoon Mayor Jojie Derama during her visit to Boljoon National High School in Barangay Lower Becerril on July 8.
During the visit, she also turned over 40 armchairs to the school as part of the Cebu Provincial Government’s continuing commitment to supporting education and improving learning facilities for Cebuano students.
The Municipal Agriculture Office also received one walking-type agricultural tractor with a rotary tiller, which will be used by a farmers’ group identified by the local government unit.
It is designed for primary and secondary tillage and efficiently cuts, breaks up, and mixes the soil and crop residues in a single pass, making it a most popular soil preparation setup for small to medium-sized farms.
The equipment was provided in support of the Governor’s Food Always In The Home (FAITH) program.
During her speech, Governor Baricuatro advised students to focus on their studies, listen to their parents and teachers, and always be kind and humble.
“That’s what Cebuanos are. We are known to be a kind people,” she said.
She also warned students about the dangers of unregulated social media use, urging them to be discerning of fake news that spreads lies and hatred.
“Magbantay ta sa social media kay dili tanan diha maayo,” she said.
