𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Following an official study mission to Guangxi, China, a Cebu Province delegation led by PPSK and ex-officio Provincial Board Member Loren S. Singco paid a courtesy call on Gov. Pamela Baricuatro on June 29 to report the highlights and key learnings from the trip. The delegation visited China from June 22 to 26.

During the Provincial Board’s regular session on Monday, July 6, Singco delivered a privilege speech outlining the delegation’s observations on Guangxi’s advances in artificial intelligence, robotics and automated port operations.
Singco said Cebu has opportunities to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, particularly state universities, to expand AI-focused programs and learning opportunities. He said that AI should be used to enhance industries and human capabilities rather than replace workers, underscoring the importance of equipping Cebuanos with the skills needed for an increasingly technology-driven future.
The delegation also thanked Gov. Baricuatro for the opportunity to represent Cebu and bring home insights that could help shape the province’s future initiatives in technology, education and innovation. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑱𝑳𝑷, 𝒀𝑱𝑩
