𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟯 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗹𝘀
The Cebu Provincial Government will begin distributing school assistance on Wednesday, June 9, at Consolacion Central School, providing learning supplies to pupils from kindergarten to Grade 3.
The assistance package includes school bags, notebooks, pencils, rulers, erasers, tumblers, crayons, pad paper, and other classroom essentials.
Public Services Officer Christopher Baricuatro, focal person of the Provincial School Board (PSB), said the distribution would also be rolled out in other municipalities and component cities, with assistance tailored to the specific needs of each school.
To ensure efficient delivery and logistics, Baricuatro said the provincial government would coordinate closely with local government units.
Last week, the Cebu Provincial School Board approved a P367-million supplemental budget for education, including P37 million for additional school and office supplies and instructional materials.
As part of its initiatives, the Capitol will also hold an Education Summit this school year to address learning gaps across the province.
The summit will bring together all Local School Boards to discuss strategies for improving students’ reading comprehension and numeracy through bottom-up assessment workshops. Report by Riza Mae L. Pasilan and Ashdee Marie Fuentes, CNU interns
