𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀
At least 195 transport workers received 10-kilo rice packs from the Cebu Provincial Government during a distribution activity at the North Bus Terminal on Friday, June 5.
The beneficiaries, composed of qualified drivers and conductors, received the assistance under the Capitol’s continuing rice subsidy program for the transport sector.
The program was launched on April 9 and 10, as Governor Pamela Baricuatro sought to provide relief to transport workers affected by rising fuel costs and other economic pressures.
The activity was conducted by the Provincial Government in partnership with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 7.
LTFRB-7 validated the list of beneficiaries based on submissions from registered transport operators across the province to ensure the orderly and transparent distribution of assistance.
Capitol officials said they are evaluating schedules for additional distribution rounds to cover other registered transport groups in different parts of Cebu.
