The Cebu Provincial Government has extended agricultural and livelihood assistance to families affected by the recent earthquake in Bogo City, complementing the cash aid earlier distributed by Gov. Pamela Baricuatro.
Through the Provincial Agriculture Office and the Provincial Veterinary Office, affected residents received seedlings, fertilizers, and fishing equipment to help restore their sources of income.
The assistance package also included 10 carabaos and 20 goats for farmers and fisherfolk seeking to rebuild their livelihoods following the disaster.
Gov. Baricuatro said the provincial government would strengthen coordination with private sector partners and donors to expedite the delivery of assistance during emergencies.
She added that recovery efforts should go beyond financial aid, saying that helping families regain their livelihoods is crucial to rebuilding communities affected by disasters.
