The governor also attended the annual Bantayan Fisherfolk Day celebration in Lantawan, where fishers from 25 barangays gathered for the event.
Mayor Layese thanked Gov. Pam and the Cebu Provincial Government for the assistance extended to Bantayan, saying it would greatly benefit the fisherfolk, the elderly and the entire community in the island town.

During her visit, the governor toured the Bantayan District Hospital and inspected newly acquired anesthesia machines in the operating room. She also visited the hospital’s sewage treatment plant.
