𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Hundreds of fishers from 25 barangays gathered in Lantawan, Bantayan on Saturday, May 30, to celebrate the annual Bantayan Fisherfolk Day alongside provincial and local officials.
The event marked a unified celebration of the local fishing community’s contributions, highlighted by the presence of Cebu Gov. Pam Baricuatro, 4th District Rep. Sun Shimura, Bantayan Mayor Alex Layese, and Provincial Board Members Kerrie Keanne Shimura, Nelson Mondigo and Neneth Reluya.
The participants represented various fisherfolk associations across the municipality, coming together to honor their livelihood and its ties tonthe community.
During the gathering, Gov. Baricuatro expressed her gratitude and support for the community.
