LOOK: Gov. Pamela Baricuatro graced the opening of the Mandaue City Unity Cup 2026, highlighting the importance of sports in promoting unity, discipline and youth development.
Joining the governor were city officials led Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” Ouano and Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede, along with Congresswoman Lolypop Ouano-Dizon Board Member Olin Seno, members of the City Council, barangay and SK officials.
The citywide sports event gathered young athletes in a celebration of camaraderie and healthy competition.
Professional volleyball star Alyssa Valdez also graced the event as a special guest, inspiring aspiring athletes to pursue excellence both in sports and in life.
In her message, Gov. Baricuatro commended the city government and organizers for launching a program that promotes discipline, teamwork, friendship, and sportsmanship among the youth.
