Newly crowned Miss Worldwide Philippines 2026 Nicole Borromeo and Miss Charm Philippines 2026 Apriel Smith returned home to Cebu on Friday, May 22, kicking off a series of homecoming celebrations in honor of their achievements at the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 pageant.

Borromeo, representing Cebu Province, and Smith, representing Cebu City, both finished in the Top 7 during the national coronation night held on May 2.
Their return marked their first homecoming after nearly three months away, drawing warm support from fellow Cebuanos.

The festivities opened at the Cebu Provincial Capitol Social Hall, where provincial officials and Capitol employees welcomed the two queens during a homecoming ceremony.
Messages of congratulations were delivered during the program, followed by an interview segment where the queens shared their experiences in the national pageant. The event also included photo opportunities with provincial officials.

Both queens thanked Cebuanos for their continued support throughout their pageant journey.
“Every time makauli ko diri sa Cebu, I’m so happy, so overwhelmed, and so blessed,” Smith said.
Borromeo echoed the sentiment, saying representing Cebu on the national stage was an experience she would always cherish.
“It truly means the world to us. Not everybody gets the chance to live out their dream, and we got to do that while carrying Cebu with so much pride and love,” she said.
Following the Capitol ceremony, Borromeo and Smith joined a motorcade that passed through major roads in Cebu City, including Barangay Kamputhaw, Jakosalem Street, and Abellana, before concluding at Cebu City Hall.
The homecoming celebration is set to culminate at SM Seaside City Cebu later in the day with a fan meet and victory program.
Borromeo will represent the Philippines in the Miss Worldwide 2026 pageant, while Smith will compete in Miss Charm 2026 later this year. ICAPITOL PIO with reports from CNU interns Christian James L. Manlegro, Kim Riza Pasilan, Karol Jossep Tapere, Arvin Rus Tapangan, Atasha Keersten P. Itol
