Capitol Piso Health Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan joined the Department of Health’s (DOH) Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) Midyear Performance and Budget Utilization Review held in Cebu on Wednesday, highlighting the province’s continued support for initiatives aimed at improving healthcare services nationwide.
Dr. Catalan welcomed the gathering of health leaders and officials from across the country, saying Cebu was honored to host the important national event spearheaded by the DOH.
“The Province of Cebu, under the leadership of Governor Pamela Baricuatro, will always support initiatives that advance healthcare and improve the lives of our people,” Dr. Catalan said.
She cited collaboration and shared learning as key factors in strengthening the country’s public health and hospital systems.
Dr. Catalan said the HFEP has played a significant role in improving hospitals, health facilities, medical equipment, and access to healthcare for Filipino communities.
She also thanked DOH Central Visayas Regional Director Joshua Brillantes for the invitation and for the agency’s continued partnership with the provincial government in promoting a stronger and more resilient healthcare system in the country.
