The Cebu Provincial Government has released P39.6 million in financial assistance to the Municipality of Sibonga for road upgrades and other infrastructure projects.
Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro personally turned over the checks to Sibonga Mayor Caroline Bacaltos on Monday, May 18, at the Capitol.
Also present during the turnover were Vice Mayor Mariano “Dotis” Laude and several town councilors.
The funding will bankroll key infrastructure projects aimed at improving road access, sports facilities, and community development in the southern Cebu town.
Of the total amount, P20 million was earmarked for the upgrading and improvement of local access roads, P11.6 million for the construction of a covered court (Phase 3), and P8 million for various infrastructure projects.
Last month, Gov. Baricuatro also led the groundbreaking of a Capitol-funded 1.5-kilometer road project worth more than P19 million in Barangay Manatad, Sibonga. | CAPITOL PIO
