𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐒 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍
Personnel from the Office of Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, Office of Vice Gov. Glenn Soco, and of the Provincial Planning and Development Office conducted last Thursday and Friday, May 14 to 15, 2026, joint ocular inspections of sites with requests for solar lighting.
The team went to barangays Dakit in Barili town, Cotcoton and Bullogan in Dumanjug town, Tuble and Bala in Moalboal town, Calangcalang in Badian town, and in Ocaña, City of Carcar, to validate if the locations comply with the requirements for the requests.
The visits are part of the process when the offices of the governor and the vice governor receive requests for assistance from the barangays.
In particular, the Office of the Governor, through the Barangay Affairs Office at the Capitol, receives requests for funding of barangay infrastructure projects, particularly road concreting with drainage; industrial fan; solar lighting; and constructions of multipurpose buildings/gyms, a multipurpose building/People’s Hall; a day care center; a GAD/SK/Senior citizen building; People’s Stage and other improvements; a People’s Health Station; a foot bridge; and the People’s Agri market with storage facility.
Aside from these, they could also request for the funding of socio-cultural events and related items, particularly fiestas or festival activities; procurement of multi-purpose tents, monobloc tables and chairs; and procurement of sports gears and equipment.
The barangays could likewise request, through a barangay resolution, for a barangay water system requiring a budget of up to P200,000. 𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝑷𝑫𝑶
