Local pride and northern charm took center stage as Cebu’s 5th District brought its finest offerings to the heart of the city for the “Our Cebu” showcase at Robinsons Galleria Cebu in Cebu City. Far more than a simple introduction, the event served as a vibrant marketplace and cultural exhibition designed to boost tourism and establish a direct link between northern producers and urban consumers.

Under the theme “Fresh from the Fifth District,” the showcase highlighted a diverse array of goods, handicrafts, and tourism-related services. The exhibition featured the unique coastal and highland products of Sogod, Borbon, Compostela, Carmen, Catmon, Liloan, and Danao City, alongside the distinct island treasures of the Camotes group, including Poro, Tudela, San Francisco, and Pilar.

Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro led the opening of the expo, together with Vice Gov. Glenn Soco and Cebu’s Fifth District Provincial Board Members Red Duterte and Mike Villamor, and the local officials from the featured towns. Together, they toured the various booths and expressed their deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and agricultural bounty on display.

The governor pointed out that the exhibition brings fresh ideas, fresh opportunities, fresh local products, fresh partnerships, and a fresh perspective that the ultimate strength of Cebu lies within its communities, highlighting the vital importance of supporting local livelihoods.

The expo allowed mallgoers to experience the 5th District’s famous delicacies, intricate artisanal crafts, and hidden tourism gems. The mall space was transformed into a celebration of northern Cebuano life, featuring everything from the world-renowned baked goods of Liloan and the industrial craftsmanship of Danao City to the pristine white-sand appeal and organic products of the Camotes Islands. /𝑪𝑨𝑷𝑰𝑻𝑶𝑳 𝑷𝑰𝑶, 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑨𝑹𝑱
