The checks, amounting to ₱50,000 to ₱250,000 each, will fund infrastructure projects, socio-cultural activities, and other priority community programs.
Beneficiaries were the 14 barangays across the province, including Manipis, Talisay City; Poblacion North, San Fernando; San Isidro and Bog-o, Asturias; Cogon, Tuburan; Canlumapao, Toledo City; Gaas and Matun-og, Balamban; Baterya, Daanbantayan; Curva, Medellin; Poblacion, Compostela; Western Poblacion, San Francisco, Camotes; San Juan, Pilar; and Sta. Filomena, Alegria.

Highlighting rural development and food security, Gov. Baricuatro called for a more proactive approach and urged local officials to come up with projects that will help improve the livelihoods of their constituents.
“Paghimo mog resolution for farm-to-market roads in support of agriculture,” the governor told local officials, adding that farm-to-market roads help improve farmers’ mobility and access to markets.

During the ceremony, Gov. Baricuatro also challenged local leaders to strictly enforce civic regulations to maintain public order and environmental cleanliness.
